Next Book of the Knights Tower Series and Other News

Last February, I was at writer’s conference and one of the best selling authors suggested to us that we launch our books through a Kickstarter. I’ve been looking into that for years now—and it didn’t seem right to me… But as a better way to launch a book, that bore thinking about. And, I asked those who have done in Kickstarter, whether they thought it a good idea—and I got a lot of feedback.

Number one warning, Kickstarters are a lot of work—and a lot of warnings about things not to do. That’s led to a different approach to what I heard at that writer’s conference presentation. I think, what I’m planning will be a lot of work, so I’ve been planning it with some help. It’s always nice to have friends, particularly when they’ve run lots of successful Kickstarters.

So, I’m doing my first Kickstarter, which will launch Knight’s Blood, Book Three of my Knights Tower Series. It looks like I’ll announce it officially in 2024. Ironically, it’ll likely be around the twelth anniversary of the publication of my first novel, and will bring me up to 23 novels in print in that time.

I’m still working on a lot of the details, but the plan for how I’m doing everything and what I’m offering is set. I’ve even a major stretch goal of offering the three books of the Knights Tower in exclusive hardcovers. As I’ve never had a book of mine in hardcover that’s quite the stretch goal for me and not just the Kickstarter.

I’m off to Philcon this weekend and will have some of my books for sale at the eSpec Books tables. So, look for me there and around the con.

On my writing progress, I’ve been writing Bigfoot and the Four Horsemen, the third book in my Apocalypse Knot series. I’m supposed to working on Children of a Lesser Dragon, Book Two of Bred in Captivity, but as sometimes happens—when Bigfoot comes a callin’ I have to, well, write about it.

Particular Passages - Closed for the Season is an anthology coming out shortly… I’ve a short story in it, The Christmas Dilemma.
