Thoughts on SF&F Shows Old and New and Other News

I only recent watched the dresden Files...

I first heard bestselling author jim Butcher talk about how he created his Dresden Files Series in college a few years ago… At the time he shared how important the television show was to his sales; even though, it was cancelled after 90 days on the Sy Fi Channel… Thanks to streaming services, I watched the Dresden Files and liked the episodes a lot and now understand why book sales spiked forever after.

This week I binged three time Avatar: The Last Airbender’s 8 episode season. I was a fan of the original and watched the movie, which critics hated, and I understood a lot of the criticism… So, I wasn’t sure what I’d think of the new series.

Then again, I’ve binged watched it three times, as I said. So, yes, I like it—and want the rest. If you’ve never seen the Last Airbender, it’s worth watching—it wasn’t like watching a kids show—and still isn’t to me. It’s just great story telling and it’s epic, which is a winning combination for me.

In other news, thank you everyone for checking out my first Kickstarter, which came in 300% over goal. Knight of the Broken Table and Changeling Knight are coming out in revised editions and Knight’s Blood will come out after I do a couple of tuckerizations, add the backer’s appreciation page, and do a proof of the galley. The Kickstarter’s made wonderful launch for the new book and the entire Knights Tower Series.

I’ve finished the first series of drafts of my forthcoming novel Bigfoot and the Four Horsemen, Book Three of The Apocalypse Knot.

So, interested in free stories? My Apocalypse Knot novella trilogy (basically a complete novel), Apocalypse Knot, Little Apocalype, and Apocalypse Night are featured in Free Science Fiction and Fantasy Reads.

Dare to Believe!
